David Schlotterbeck has served as chairman & CEO of CareFusion since January 2009, immediately after it was spun off from Cardinal Health, where he served as CEO for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment. The spin off, led by Schlotterbeck, created over $6 billion in additional shareholder value for the former Cardinal Health stockholders and created CareFusion as a stand-alone entity, and a San Diego-based Fortune 500 company. Schlotterbeck joined Cardinal Health through the acquisition of Alaris, where he was president and chief executive officer. He is also a director of Virtual Radiologic Corporation, a teleradiology services company.
