Doug Wheat has served as a director at AMN Healthcare, Inc. almost continuously since November 1999. He is currently the chairman of the board and serves as a member of the executive committee. Wheat as been an integral part of the company’s growth from $150 million to its peak revenue of $1.2 billion in 2008. In 2001, Doug also played a key role in taking the company public on the New York Stock Exchange. His leadership and contributions during 2009 were particularly noteworthy, as the company transitioned through the most precipitous contraction in the history of the healthcare staffing industry. Wheat is President and co-founder of Southlake Equity Group, a Dallas-Fort Worth based investment firm. He is also chairman of the board of SuperMedia Inc.
