Doug Hutcheson has been with Leap, a spin off from QUALCOMM, Inc., since its inception, and has been president, CEO & director since early 2005. Responsible for overseeing operations for Leap, he developed the initial concept, and led the core team, that pioneered Cricket, Leap’s innovative, all-you-can-talk local wireless service. Hutcheson spearheads Leap’s commitment to the communities in which Cricket operates and has secured the backing of his fellow directors for the investment of resources for such causes as the Children's Museum in downtown San Diego; joining with Qualcomm to supply the San Diego police force with cell phones and two years of wireless service, lost due to budget cuts; and Rebuilding Together, a nationwide organization that revitalizes homes for the needy -- in 2009, Cricket employees completed 69 projects, investing over 25,000 volunteer hours. Prior to QUALCOMM, Mr. Hutcheson was with Solar Turbines, Inc. from 1982 to 1991.
